Dew and Opie

So these two are the brothers! And here is their story...

Thought you might like an update on the kittens. Opie is a marvelous cat.. well, they are both marvelous but Opie is sweet, attention loving, and determined to get between us and any work we are trying to do. He will climb up and sit in our laps and loves being scratched.
Dew has been tentatively renamed "Ariel". He can practically climb walls. On his first time out in the family room, he found a hole behind the refrigerator and shot up into the space between the ceiling and the floor above. UGH.. we learned how to remove ceiling tiles and pulled him down. We blocked the first hole... we thought. Next day, as soon as our backs were turned.. up he went again. He pushed his way though our barriers. We restuffed the holes and thought we had it solved. Then today, AM all was well, this afternoon, "no Dew".. bingo. He was back in the ceiling. Now we have this temporary wall around the refrigerator. We are waiting to see if our "spidercat" can solve this puzzle. We have a trip to Home Depot planned for tomorrow. He's so smart.!! He is a little stand-offish compared to Opie. But he seems happy enough. Heaven help us if he thinks up stunts every time he's bored. Two very different personalities under that orange fur.

Both cats are comfortable with the dog. The first introduction involved spitting and growling.. by Dew. But now they all touch noses and the dog is allowed to nuzzle them. All we have to do is figure out how to get the dog to let the cats play and not to try to join in. He snatches their little feathered toys and trots around with the feathers sticking out of his mouth. Naturally the cats aren't overjoyed when they get the soggy things back. He tries to throw balls at the kittens but they haven't caught on to this game.
