Please, We Need Non-Scoopable Cat Litter!!

The shelter is currently spending about $500 a month just to keep enough cat litter for all the homeless cats we take in and re-home.  As you all know, economic times are rough and that translates often into more homeless pets.  So, if you can donate even 1 bag of non-scoopable cat litter, and everyone else reading this does that, it will help us to save money for a much needed new shelter roof before winter.

Thank You for Your Generosity!

New Fundraising Events Coming Up

Wish List Drive in Murphysboro at Wal-Mart
Sunday October 16th from 10am-2p.m

For those of you who don't know a wish list drive consists of a few people standing outside of a store handing customers a list of items we need at the shelter (food, cat litter, bleach etc.) and collecting the items from those who wish to donate. People are generally happy to help. This is a perfect fundraiser for someone who has a few free hours. You can volunteer for the full 4 hrs or just 2 hours.

4-Way "Penny Pitch" Fundraiser in Murphysboro
Friday November 18th from 3pm-6pm
Saturday November 19th from 8am-12pm

There are 3 4-way intersections we are allowed to stand at. We will be asking for money for the shelter. More specifically, for the spay/neuter voucher program. Please consider volunteering for Friday or Saturday.

Wish List Drive in Carbondale at Kroger
Saturday November 19th from 10am-4pm

This is the exact same set-up as the wish list drive at Wal-Mart. If you can only come for 3 hrs that's fine. This will be a hectic day because the 4-way fundraiser is also going on so we'll need lots of people. If you have friends, family, or co-workers that you think would help ask them too! It makes the time go by faster and makes for fun memories.

Trivia Night at the Elks in Murphysboro- Details to be announced. Groups needed to participate.
